Adam Trubow
Adam launched Tickets For Joy in 2009 along with good friend Nathaniel Gentry also of Albuquerque, NM. In 2009, Adam attended an Arizona Cardinal playoff game in Glendale, Arizona. During the game, Adam had been complaining of the the ability to resell his season tickets and the constant fact of taking losses on the resale. As the words rolled off his tongue, he observed a father with a special needs child cherishing their time together at the game.
Adam was moved by seeing the boy and his father finding such joy in a one time event. It inspired Adam to create a vehicle for other season ticket holders of any type of live event to donate tickets they would not be able to use or sell for face value to a charity. The charity became Tickets For Joy.
Professionally, Adam is President and Qualifying Broker of TAL Realty Inc. in Albuquerque, NM. A recipient of 2010 SBA Young Entrepreneur of the year award, Adam spends majority of his time focusing on his small business and pushing the success of Tickets For Joy. Adam still enjoys playing rugby with local club teams, scuba diving, and golf.
Erin Gentry
Erin Gentry moved to Albuquerque with her husband, Nate Gentry, in 2007. A native of the Washington, D.C., area, Erin thought the southwest would be a tough adjustment, but she’s never looked back. Erin quickly embraced the desert, making great friends and enjoying everything New Mexico has to offer. Nate and Erin welcomed Chloe Caroline into the world in late 2008 and look forward to the arrival of her little sister this year.
Erin believes Albuquerque is a great place to raise a family, and believes the mission of Tickets for Joy is to ensure that everyone has the chance to experience all that the Duke City has to offer. Erin continues to work from home for her firm, Public Strategies, based out of Austin, TX. She provides strategic consulting in media relations and outreach campaigns to a variety of clients across the country. Her work compels her to travel often, but she’s always relieved to return to the Q.
Before joining Public Strategies, Gentry was spokeswoman for the Office of Thrift Supervision at the U.S. Treasury Department. Prior to that, Erin produced winning television and radio advertisements for political candidates, including Senator Pete Domenici.
Nate Gentry
A native New Mexican, Nate Gentry has made a career out of serving New Mexico. After college, Nate went to work for Senator Pete Domenici in Washington, DC. His tenure with Sen. Domenici furthered his interest in politics and the law, and Nate returned home to attend the University of New Mexico School of Law. After becoming a member of the New Mexico Bar, Nate returned to Washington to continue his work for New Mexicans in the U.S. Senate.
After too many years away from fresh green chile, Nate returned home in 2007 with his best friend and wife, Erin Gentry. He continues to practice law, and in 2008, Nate welcomed the birth of his first daughter and New Mexico native, Chloe Caroline Gentry. This he considers his greatest accomplishment and his inspiration for running for the New Mexico Legislature.
As a co-founder of Tickets for Joy, Nate wants to be sure that he gives back to a community that has given so much to him.
